After a hard year of work, now under new management, we are pleased to announce the new concept of Shirtum: its functionality, launch format, tokenomics, and other details you have been waiting for.
Let’s break it down.
Return to the Origins
Shirtum was initially created as a tool to share fans’ passion for their favorite sports, athletes, and clubs, with the main objective of reaching the mass public through digital collectibles.
In 2021, the explosion of the crypto and NFT world led us to develop a model focused on generating sports NFT campaigns, with which we had significant initial success and recognition globally.
The changes in the market in subsequent years showed us that the native use of Web3 technology and its economic model based on the purchase of NFTs were limited to a very niche audience and a speculative format that did not create sustainable value over time for our community.
In this context, we decided to take a step back and design a new user experience and business model that remove these entry barriers and allow us to reach the broader football community.
Web 2.5 Experience
The Web2.5 model offers us user-friendly usability based on Web2 standards, with a Web3 infrastructure behind it, allowing us to capitalize on the full potential of this technology in the future. This means that the user can interact with the platform without needing to create a wallet or have knowledge of the Web3 world, but, as we will explain later, they can use 3.0 functionalities as they become familiar with this universe and the platform scales technologically.
We are committed to the interoperability of digital assets as a fundamental part of our strategy in the Web3 industry, which is why, progressively and through strategic agreements with partners, users will be able to experience outside the platform, whether in immersive spaces like metaverses, websites, or even the physical world where they can share their passion with other fans in real life.
What Does the New SHIRTUM Consist of?
The entire experience begins with the digitization of physical jerseys. Users become content creators, creating digital collectibles of their own football shirts. These collectibles can be exchanged or used to complete challenges. The main goal will be to complete collection challenges and, consequently, grow in various available rankings to earn physical and digital prizes.
In the initial phase, there will be four different ways to obtain collectibles: digitizing personal shirts, predicting match actions, answering trivia questions, or acquiring them from other users in the Shirtum Marketplace.
Payments and the $SHI
At the beginning, all operations (shirts digitization and coin purchases) will be carried out with FIAT currency through a traditional payment platform. When a jersey is digitized, the user will be assigned a series of collectibles and coins. Each time a coin is created, its equivalent in SHI tokens is locked in a Platform Wallet in a 1:1 ratio. That is, each coin always equals 1 SHI token.
In the coming days, we will be publishing the new Tokenomics, which will, of course, provide more precise details about the token mechanics.
The plan is to integrate, through partnerships, a series of Web3 functionalities that further enrich the user experience, both in Web2 environments with coins and Collectibles and in Web3 environments with their equivalents in SHI tokens and NFTs.
The Launch
In addition to creating the new idea and developing the platform, during the last year, we have reached strategic agreements with leading companies in the Web2 and Web3 worlds. These agreements will be announced soon. In coordination with these partners, and after a thorough analysis of the various potential markets where to launch, we have decided to return to the country where we had the most presence since the inception of Shirtum and which has remained closest to the project throughout this transformation: Turkey.
In general terms, these are the foundations of the project. The launch is scheduled for September, and each topic will be explained in more detail over the coming weeks, as well as our arrival in Turkey with the support of two highly recognized Web3 world partners.
