The day Ronaldinho joined Shirtum, our entire creative team understood that we had a huge challenge ahead of us. Representing the successful career of one of the most charismatic athletes in history was a job that required a lot of research, creativity, precision and, above all, artists up to the task.
Fortunately, Shirtum has two top artists on his team, accustomed to representing sports history legends with their art: Rosemile and El Falso 9.
The work of the 10,010 avatars was a collaboration between these two artists who achieved unique pieces that symbolize both iconic moments in the history of Ronaldinho, as well as his personality and hobbies.
Rosemile is a Valencian artist who dedicated most of his career to transmitting sports careers through his art, especially of athletes linked to the world of motorsports. Among his most emblematic works, “Legends by Rosemile” stands out, a collection of five oil paintings on the history of the two-time Formula 1 world champion, Emerson Fittipaldi. Based on that work, 200 numbered engravings signed by Rosemile and Fittipaldi were made.
Soon, Rosemile will be presenting a work by Frida Kahlo as a guest artist at the Imperfeita International Festival that will take place in Lisbon between March and April. His work, a combination of art and preserved vegetation, will be the star of the event.
El Falso 9 began his career in the world of advertising working in agencies such as Ogilvy, DDB and McCann Erickson, among others. Thanks to his work in this world, he has won awards at festivals such as Cannes Lions, Clio, Sol and Effie Awards. The last four years he has dedicated himself to sports illustration, a discipline in which he began collaborating in different media and top sports clubs like ACF Fiorentina and Cagliari Calcio. He also participated in international campaigns for Puma and Adidas until becoming the art director of Shirtum in 2021.
Both artists will have an active role on the roadmap for this and the next Shirtum drops, as they will lead the Art Direction of the company.
Their involvement will also add value to Ronaldinho’s NFTs for the long term, guaranteeing the utility of these first Avatar NFTs in the form of physical art and future benefits for the holders.
